Choice FM Radio DJ & Presenter, Abrantee is launching a large-scale talent search show in search of the Best Next Afrobeats Superstar. 

With the rise and growing popularity of Afrobeats music world-over, DJ Abrantee is not stopping with his hugely successful radio show launched in April 2011. He has teamed up with and impresario DLA Worldwide, to produce what is described to be the most interesting, fresh supply of emerging talent search from the world of Afrobeats.

iAfrica... African Global DJ Awards (Saturday, May 4)

Stronghold Entertainment and Statsmedia Group have joined forces to put together the first ever African Global DJ Awards to be held on Saturday, May 4 at the Sandton Convention Center in Johannesburg, South Africa. The awards ceremony will be hosted by Navio and Lerato along with Denrele among other prominent hosts. Some of the nominees across the sixteen award categories include DJ Xclusive, DJ Soupamodel, DJ Dee Money and DJ Abrantee among others.

iConcert... D'BANJ Live @ Hammersmith Apollo (Monday, August 27)

It's been a stellar 2012 so far for D'Banj which has included a top ten UK single with "Oliver Twist" as well  as performances at BBC Hackney Weekend and Wireless Festival. The G.O.O.D Music signee returns to London this bank holiday Monday (August 27) for a live gig at HMV's Hammersmith Apollo. Joining him on the bill this year are Davido, Naeto C, May7ven and a few special guests - remember last year, one of those special guests was none other than Kanye West. The concert is being hosted by Choice FM's DJ Abrantee.

iTelevision... Sounds of Afrobeats x HiTV (Sky Channel 204) x 9PM, Tonight (July 17)

This is pretty interesting, I've gotta say. As a prelude to the Afrobeat Festival taking place next month (August 28), event organizers - Cokobar have put together this eight-part TV series titled Sounds of Afrobeats with the first episode airing tonight at 9pm on HiTV (Sky Channel 204). It should be an interesting watch so definitely lock in for it...
