iFilm... The Mirror Boy x World Film Premiere x February 24, 2011

The World Premiere of the highly anticipated Obi Emelonye-directed African film 'The Mirror Boy' is scheduled to take place next week Thursday (February 24) at London's Empire Cinemas in Leicester Square and general tickets are now on sale for the event from ThemirrorboyThemovie.com. The film which is produced by The Nollywood Factory and OH Films stars two of Africa's biggest actors - Genevieve Nnaji and Osita Iheme as well as mark's the big-screen debut for young British actor, Edward Kagutuzi.

Information on the running order of the Premiere screening: The doors for the World Premiere Gala screening will open at 8PM and the screening will commence at 8.30PM sharp with a Reception and Q&A with the stars and filmmakers including Obi Emelonye, Genevieve Nnaji and Osita Iheme amongst others, right after the screening.

OH Films and The Nollywood Factory are gearing up to host what is said to be the biggest film premiere of an African film in the UK on February 24 (more details on this tomorrow) for Nigerian director Obi Emelonye's brand new film titled 'The Mirror Boy' starring two of Nollywood's finest actors - Genevieve Nnaji and Osita Iheme. The film set in Gambia also stars Gambian film star Fatima Jabbe and fast rising British young actor Edward Katuguzi. "Mirror Boy is an enthralling journey through Gambia, seen through the eyes of London-born 12 year old Tijan (Edward Kagutuzi). Getting involved in a street fight, in which a boy is hurt, his mother (Genevieve Nnaji) decides to take him to the Gambia to live with her sister. On their arrival in Banjul, Tijan encounters an apparition of a boy smiling at him in a mirror and vanishing. Seeing the same boy in a crowded street market the next day sets in motion a chain of events that culminates in him getting lost. While Tijan's panic-stricken mother struggles to find her son in an intriguing game of survival brinkmanship, Tijan is left alone in the company of the enigmatic Mirror Boy, who is only visible to him. A bruising spiritual rite of passage, Mirror Boy takes Tijan on a magical and mystical journey." - Obi Emelonye
