Professor Penguin are a new London-based band that is being compared to the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club, Bon Iver and The National so I just had to press play on their debut single titled "Pilot" and I have to say, it's a really good record and even though the comparisons listed above might be somewhat premature, Professor Penguin - with this new record - are definitely worth checking out. Already being supported by Lauren Laverne (BBC 6 Music) and Nick Grimshaw (BBC Radio 1), "Pilot" is the lead single for the band's forthcoming debut album Planes which is due out in February, 2012, listen below...

iVideo... Tennis - Deep In The Woods

The good folks at Rolling Stone recently premiered the brand new video from Denver Indie-Pop duo Tennis for "Deep In The Woods", the B-side of their latest single "Origins". Apparently the video above is supposed to be a visual representation of Shirley Jackson's 1962 novel We Have Always Lived In A Castle. I haven't read the book so I couldn't tell you but what I can say is that "Deep In The Woods" is certainly worth a good few listens, check it out UP top...

Nigerian R&B/Pop star Wande Coal and his record label Mo'Hits Records threw the interwebs and the twitterverse into a frenzy earlier this morning with the announcement that they were gonna be releasing THREE BRAND NEW singles from the African star later tonight! Well it seemed the suspense was killing everyone and as a result, they let go of all three singles soon after that announcement...

Listen below to my early favorite of the three songs at the moment, the Jay Sleek-produced "Private Trips" which sounds like it samples Drake's massive "Headlines" single rather heavily and makes use of Lex Luger's trademark synth arrangements...
