Just to put it in context of who the great Majek Fashek is - his debut album, 1989's Prisoner of Conscience is one of the best records to come out of Africa period + he appeared on The Late Night Show with David Letterman in June 1992 (before any of these Nigerian wannabe "Global" artists could even dream of it and they are still dreaming of it 19 years on) + he was signed to Interscope Records in 1990 and released the classic album Spirit of Love in 1991 under that imprint + who could forget songs such as "So Long", "Send Down The Rain", "Religion is Politics" and "African Unity" amongst others - A TRUE LEGEND regardless of the drug and alcohol problems that dogged his career for years...
