iEVENT... PMOI LIVE @ C.A.M.P w/ DEGO + Tanya Auclair + Eric Lau (Thursday, September 15)

"PUT ME ON IT are proud to present the first in a special series of live events at the C.A.M.P. in Shoreditch on Thursday 15th September 2011. We're launching with a very rare and special live show from Dego (4Hero/ 2000 Black) performing his recently released album "A Wha' Him Deh Pon?" with a live band, featuring London's finest musical talent. 
Supporting will be Tanya Auclair, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist performing her original brand of experimental pop much lauded by the likes of Gilles Peterson. Eric Lau, our resident DJ, will be holding it down with an original selection of goodness until 1am. 
To top it all off the inspirational Sri McKinnon will be launching her new exhibition "Mindscapes" (upstairs), Mrs Mck's Pudding Club from Relay Tea Room will be selling the most delicious selection of cakes and treats you've ever seen, and United 80 will have a musical pop up shop!" - Put Me On It

iEVENT... BLACK ORPHEUS Rescore w/ Charlie Dark @ Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre + Afterparty w/ Gilles Peterson x Septemeber 2 ( £5 PROMO Tickets)


Charlie Dark will be creating a live re-score to Marcel Camus' 1959 classic Oscar winning film Black Orpheus. The film is based on the Greek legend of Orpheus and Eurydice, set in a Rio de Janeiro favela during the Carnaval.

Charlie and special guests Adriano Adewale, Tanya Auclair and samba band Bigga Bloco will perform their take on the original bossanova score by Luiz Bonfá, Antônio Carlos Jobim and João Gilberto live.

The show is followed by Fallon's after-party, with Gilles Peterson, visuals and a heap of surprises.

iListen... Untold Songs: Volume One (Curated By Belle)

"Untold Songs: Volume One is a groundbreaking compilation of songs by female artists brought together from all across the globe. The compilation is being released in collaboration with Amnesty International and She Said 2 Much to raise awareness and money for Amnesty International's "Stop Violence Against Women" campaign. London-based singer, Belle, is the brains behind the project and has grafted to assemble an amazing array of songs from a selection of immense talents from the far corners of the globe. Twenty three original songs from twenty three amazing female artists from all around the world including VULA, Tanya Auclair, Baby Sol, Sabira Jade, Heidi Vogel, Yarah Bravo and our very own Zayna Daze just to name a few! This epic project was released at the start of the week (June 13) via Jus Like Music Records and was put together and curated by London-based singer/songwriter and all-round SUPER woman BELLE plus what is more is this mamoth release is all for a GREAT cause (Amnesty International)! iEVENT... Untold Songs Launch @ Rich Mix London w/ Heidi Vogel + Tanya Auclair + Yarah Bravo + MORE (Saturday, June 11)


OK before I even begin to talk about this event, I should try to at the very least put it into context for you. This UNMISSABLE event is to launch Untold Songs: Volume One - the 23-track compilation record of songs by female artists from all around the world put together by emerging UK-based Soul Singer Belle and released via Jus Like Music Records in collaboration with Amnesty International in a bid to raise awareness and money for the "Stop Violence Against Women" campaign (majority of the proceeds of the sales of the compilation will be going directly to Amnesty International and this campaign)... 

The compilation record will be released on Monday, June 13 2011 and to celebrate the release of this colossal and painstakingly put-together 23-track opus, we will ALL be heading up to Rich Mix this Saturday (June 11) at 7pm to not only support this great cause BUT also to witness some very amazing performances from the likes of Heidi Vogel, Tanya Auclair, Stac and Yarah Bravo as well as some of our very talented friends - Zayna Daze, Belinda Zhawi - plus some female UK artists we are huge fans of - Sarina Leah, Kersha Bailey - and of course the superwoman that is Belle with DJ support from our very own DJ Su-Prize along side Lucy Pink and you know that's not even the half of it right?

iSHOWCASE... 17TH OCTOBER 2010 = POEJAZZI @ SOHO THEATRE


"As Poejazzi's triumphant Year of the Poet season draws to a close, the magnificent Eska headlines a line-up of the UK's finest singers and lyricists. She is joined by fast-rising singer-songwriter Tanya Auclair, and the wonderful poetry of Hollie Mcnish, John Osborne, Robert Auton and 2009 Roundhouse Slam Champion Jodi Ann Bickley. The evening will be hosted by poet Inua Ellams (Edinburgh Fringe First, The National) whose new play, "Untitled", is also showing at Soho Theatre between 28 September and 9 October. The good folks over at Poejazzi are putting on a HUGE one this Sunday (October 17th) with the amazing Eska headlining. One of my favourite spoken-word artists ever, Hollie McNish is also on the bill as well as singer/songwriter Tanya Auclair and Inua Ellams takes time out of his touring his new play 'Untitled' to host the evening. Doors open at 7pm, the show starts at 7.15pm and tickets are only £8 from HERE
