iEvent... One Chance @ The Clapham Grand (Tonight, June 21)


The One Chance Talent Showcase/Competition returns tonight (June 21) at The Clapham Grand at Clapham Junction. Supported by Grime Daily, iTs a Big Thing and Play Ent, #OneChance is an open mic competition with the entrants standing a chance of winning some cash prizes, radio play on BBC 1Xtra and a music video shot by Grime Daily.

The judges for tonight's showcase/competition are Grime Daily's Pierre, BBC 1Xtra's CJ Beatz, Lisa Cheung (Capital FM, Choice FM), DJ Matchstick and the co-founder of BIG! so if you're an up and coming artist or performer, I'd advice you to go down tonight to check it out! 

Doors open at 7pm and entry is only £5 before 8:30pm and £7 after that. The venue - The Clapham Grand - is situated at 21 - 25 St. John's Street, Clapham Junction, London, SW11 1TT.

iEvent... Cosy Anniversary Show @ Brick House w/ Josh Osho + Shakka + Rachel Kerr (Tuesday, June 5)


Cosy Show are having their second year anniversary showcase this Jubilee bank holiday on Tuesday, June 5 at The Brick House on the ever vibrant Brick Lane and they've brought together an excellent line up of emerging UK artist to put on a right show for you. 

Hosted by resident host Axel and DJ Semo, the live music will be courtesy of Island Def Jam recording artist Josh Osho, who will be joined on stage by Fem Fel, Ash Catch Em and a special guest. One of our favourite London artists right now Shakka will also be performing live as well as Rachel Kerr with comedy coming from KG tha Comedian and Babatunde.

Performing LIVE at our One Mic 2nd Anniversary Special are Liverpool-based rapper,singer and songwriter - KOF - who is receiving massive support and co-signs from the likes of Mistajam, Zane LoweDJ Target and Huw Stephens + London-based female producer and rapper - KAY YOUNG - who has caught the attention of tastemaker blogs like SoulCulture and Bama Love Soul already so far this year + Pop/Soul duo - Sid & Sigala - who after the release of their amazing single "My Boots (Version 2.0)" received  a huge co-sign from influential UK Alt-Urban blog Pinboard Blog + one of the UK's best kept secrets, Blues/Soul singer, songwriter and musician - Michael J Bluesmith

iEVENT... BLACK ORPHEUS Rescore w/ Charlie Dark @ Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre + Afterparty w/ Gilles Peterson x Septemeber 2 ( £5 PROMO Tickets)


Charlie Dark will be creating a live re-score to Marcel Camus' 1959 classic Oscar winning film Black Orpheus. The film is based on the Greek legend of Orpheus and Eurydice, set in a Rio de Janeiro favela during the Carnaval.

Charlie and special guests Adriano Adewale, Tanya Auclair and samba band Bigga Bloco will perform their take on the original bossanova score by Luiz Bonfá, Antônio Carlos Jobim and João Gilberto live.

The show is followed by Fallon's after-party, with Gilles Peterson, visuals and a heap of surprises.
