Acclaimed British-Nigerian performer Yomi Sode, known on the circuit as G.R.E.Ed.S (Generating Rhymes to Enlighten Engaged Soul) fuses spoken word and acoustic sounds in a new EP that breaks free from the expected forms of spoken word.
His debut project Volume in Silence, released in 2009, took listeners into his darkest reflections. In this second offering, Ready doesn't just push lyrical boundaries, it also takes the spoken word format out of its comfort zone in it's collaboration with live session band, The Remedies. The EP features include award-winning singer Dionne Reid, Josh Idehen of LV collaboration fame and Hadyn Corrodus of Indie Hip-Hop band The Stow.
