After getting it's world premiere on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show back in May, we now have the official video for debut single "Up Up Up" from emerging US-based Avant Pop outfit Givers as premiered yesterday (June 27) on MTV!

Lafayette, Louisiana quintet Givers make their UK performance debut next week across three London venues between July 5 and July 8 ahead of the release of "Up Up Up" which is due out shortly after on July 18 (Glassnote/Island) off of their debut album In Light out NOW in the US and scheduled for an autumn release out here.

We first heard his production on Beautiful Music with Luck-One back in 2009 on a Soulful Hip-Hop vibe, then we heard a totally different side to his craft on How Did This Happen? as one half of Moxie Black on an Electro/Alternative Hip-Hop vibe and NOW as one half of Shadows on Stars? Well let me just let you listen!

What you just heard is the brand new single from Shadows on Stars titled "Now You're Mine" and I am liking this one right now! On what would have been Tupac Shakur's 40th birthday (June 16), emerging British singer/songwriter Dionne Reid releases the extremely powerful, compelling and heart-wrenching visuals to relay her song titled "Angel" which samples the original acoustic version of popular Tupac and Nas collaboration "Thugz Mansion". You really need to watch this one!

This record "Angel" is in memory of all the loved ones that we have lost and especially in Ms. Reid's case, in memory of her late Grandmother. It is SUCH a beautiful song accompanied by an equally compelling visual treatment courtesy of Sebastian Thiel of Upshot TV and I cannot stop watching it. iLive... SADE x The O2 Arena x May 31, 2011 (Review)

What a NIGHT! What a Concert! What a Performance! What a Woman! What a Band! Where do I even begin because Sade at the O2 Arena was/is easily one of my favourite concert experiences in a long while and to think that Ms. Sade Adu and her band had not performed in her home country in near on twenty years (since 1993), you had to wonder why it's taken so long for them to come and do what they did at the O2 Arena last Tuesday (May 31) - they were simply PHENOMENAL and I bet we would have no qualms at all paying to see that set countless times between 1993 and now BUT alas I digress a bit...

When the good people at Superbreak (I'll tell you about them shortly) reached out to us with tickets to go see Sade at the O2 Arena and even though we had important exams in a few days, it was really and truly a NO brainer and can I just add that the decision was well WORTH it!

iEVENT... Untold Songs Launch @ Rich Mix London w/ Heidi Vogel + Tanya Auclair + Yarah Bravo + MORE (Saturday, June 11)

OK before I even begin to talk about this event, I should try to at the very least put it into context for you. This UNMISSABLE event is to launch Untold Songs: Volume One - the 23-track compilation record of songs by female artists from all around the world put together by emerging UK-based Soul Singer Belle and released via Jus Like Music Records in collaboration with Amnesty International in a bid to raise awareness and money for the "Stop Violence Against Women" campaign (majority of the proceeds of the sales of the compilation will be going directly to Amnesty International and this campaign)... 

The compilation record will be released on Monday, June 13 2011 and to celebrate the release of this colossal and painstakingly put-together 23-track opus, we will ALL be heading up to Rich Mix this Saturday (June 11) at 7pm to not only support this great cause BUT also to witness some very amazing performances from the likes of Heidi Vogel, Tanya Auclair, Stac and Yarah Bravo as well as some of our very talented friends - Zayna Daze, Belinda Zhawi - plus some female UK artists we are huge fans of - Sarina Leah, Kersha Bailey - and of course the superwoman that is Belle with DJ support from our very own DJ Su-Prize along side Lucy Pink and you know that's not even the half of it right?
