iReview... Style & Substance: Battle of the Sexes @ Queen of Hoxton (December 6, 2011)

Last week Tuesday (December 6), I had the privilege of being invited to the last Style & Substance live music showcase of the year put together by London-based event managers Sistova Production. iEVENT... STYLE & SUBSTANCE: Listen Different @ McQUEEN - Shoreditch w/ ROXXXAN + Ashleigh Ashley + Natalie May + MORE (Tomorrow, November 6)

"Expect to see a show stopping performance from the newest signing to Polydor Records RoxXxan - she’s the missing link in the MC game. Making her presence felt on the live circuit and already championed by the likes of Zane Lowe (Radio 1), DJ Target (1Xtra), Swerve (Kiss) and MistaJam (Radio 1/1Xtra), RoxXxan has been tipped as ‘one to watch’ by RWD and style guru’s i-D.
Also performing on the night will be Ashleigh Ashley, a singer with a mix of funky-fresh soul, RnB and a hint of rock. Ashleigh Ashley has appeared on the Channel 5 show ‘Must Be The Music’ and has recorded vocals for T-Mobile. She’s currently finalising her long awaited EP which will be set for release in 2012. Other performers on the night include: Natalie May, Rebecca Storm and many more." - SistovaProduction
I've been slacking on my blogging game for weeks now - even the good folks at Alexa are ducking my Alexa Rankings by hundreds of thousands of points - but I just had to post this one up for you to make sure you know about it and are attending tomorrow! New Polydor Records signee  RoxXxan from Birmingham is headlining this Style & Substance event and if that wasn't already enough reason for you to get down there then you must not know about RoxXxan or alternatively, I dunno what is wrong with you! Furthermore, a really stellar line-up of emerging artists - from Ashleigh Ashley to Natalie May to DJ Izzy Lawrence - is also on hand to make it a really top night showcasing the very BEST in UK FEMALE TALENT!
